Hello everyone, hope you had a chance to enjoy our school's FUN FAIR on Saturday! Here are a few things that are happening this week at Surrey Christian Preschool:
1) We are celebrating November birthdays on Tuesday and Wednesday. You are welcome to bring a goodie bag or something small for the children in your child's class if you wish. Please refrain from bringing candy/cake/mini muffins unless it is something we can hand out at the end of class. Cake will not be served during class. There are 19 children in M/W/F AM, 11 in M/W PM and 15 children in T/TH AM.
2) A fire/emergency drill will be practiced in each class this week. Once a month, we practice and talk about what to do in an emergency with the children at circle time.
3) Mrs. Yzerman will be away on Thursday for the grade 1 field trip. Miss Julie will be subbing for us on this day.
4) Friday is a Professional Day, school is closed.
5) We will be moving into a new unit soon "Christmas around the world". If you have any special Christmas traditions you celebrate with your family and would like to come in and share them with us, let us know!

A few reminders:
NO SCHOOL on Wednesday! Family game day! (or laundry day...)

Cooler weather is here, send mitts (no finger kind), warm coats and rubber boots!

We are loving our unit on Pets!! Please let us know if your family has a small pet to bring for show and tell.

RETAKES: Wednesday, Oct. 28 8:45 AM--Please pick up a form from the office first, prepay only!
PET DRESSUP DAY ~ This Wednesday and Thursday, your child can dressup as a pet, this is not a mandatory event, if your child would rather observe, that is just fine!

Rondriso Farms

Hello again! Hope you are all enjoying your blustery weekend so far! Just a reminder that our PUMPKIN PATCH field trip to RONDRISO FARMS is coming up.
Tuesday/Thursday class: October 15
Monday/Wednesday/Friday class: October 16
***Please remember NOT to come to school on your field trip day. Go straight to the farm and meet in the parking lot at 9:25 AM. We start at 9:30 AM Sharp. We should be finished around 11:00, this field trip will not be cancelled if raining, please dress appropriately.

Monday/Wednesday PM Class will be going on Wednesday, October 21, 12:40PM,we should be finished around 2:15PM. Again, meet us at the patch and please dress appropriately for the weather.

Please sign up if you are going, siblings will cost $6, extra adults will cost $2, one parent per child will be covered by the preschool. See you soon!

HI everyone!! Welcome to Surrey Christian Preschool's blog! Our goal is to update this blog about twice a month. Check often for reminders, upcoming events and fun pics of your children hard at play.

Upcoming important dates:
The preschool is closed on October 8/9/12 for Teacher's Convention and Thanksgiving. Your preschool teachers will also be attending to continue their education, network with other preschool teachers and be fed spiritually. Enjoy the long weekend with your families and friends, giving thanks to our Creator!!

Thankyou for all of your support and patience as we settle into a new year. The children have adjusted very quickly and though we are still learning our new routines with a few tears along the way, everyone comes in with big smiles ready for a new day!
