Butterfly release!

Hi everyone! Here are a few pictures and a bit of video from our butterfly release at preschool yesterday...it promised to be a sunny weekend and so it was time to let the butterflies go...

The butterflies will be feasting on gatorade soaked cotton balls this weekend! We will hopefully release them next week when the weather is above 16 degrees and not raining...

New directions to A&T Equestrian Centre tomorrow!

Hi everyone, due to a road closure, there are new driving directions to the field trip tomorrow morning. Take Fraser Hwy. Turn right on 184ST. Turn left on 40th Ave. Turn left on 192nd ST. Left on 48th Ave. You will see Potter's Nursery on corner. This road will lead you around a bend and A&T is on the left. See you at 9:25!

Reminders this week!

Hi everyone, remember that we are celebrating Earth Day on Tuesday and Wednesday, wear and/or bring something green! The four year old AM class will be leading chapel on Wednesday, 8:50 AM, feel free to come and participate! Friday is the arrival of our butterfly larvae, we are very excited to watch them transform before our eyes!! We will let you know when our butterfly release will be, stay tuned! Reminders for this week!

Hi everyone! A few things to remember for this week, it's short but busy!! 1) Class photos on Wednesday and Thursday, please come to class on time, we will be taking pictures as soon as we are done handing out valentines! Picture order envelopes have been handed out to all 4's classes, 3's classes will get their's tomorrow!! Please return on or before picture day with payment, cheque or cash. 2) Wednesday and Thursday is also RED AND PINK day, wear red and/or pink, and/or bring something for show and tell that is red and/or pink. Please also bring your valentines to hand out. Parents, please stay for a few minutes to help your child hand out the valentines, we will open doors 5 minutes early to do this before picture time. Jan. 23 - Open House 9 am – 12pm Tours at all campuses and 6:30 – 8:00pm Parent Information Fair – at Secondary Campus 15353 92 Avenue for Preschool to grade 12. Come celebrate God's uniqueness celebrated through Surrey Christian School's amazing cultural diversity. Join us for our annual "Celebration of Cultures Dinner" at the Middle Campus on January 30 at 6pm. We provide salad, buns, dessert and beverages. You bring one dish that is traditional to your cultural background to feed 10-15 people. You are encouraged to come wearing traditional dress and if you would like to share a cultural performance please email Helen Park at hpark@surreychristian.com. RSVP by January 25 to michellerakotonaivo@gmail.com. Include your family name, number of people coming, the main dish you are bringing and the origin of that dish. Feb 7 – Grade 8 Parent Information evening 7:00 – 8:00pm Secondary campus – for all current grade 7 parents and prospective grade 8 parents. Feb 8 – Grade 8 Day – 9:30 – 1:30 – Fun day of course samplers, tours, pizza, prizes and more! Bring a friend and your name gets entered to win an iPod touch! Each student that brings someone, gets a Frapp from the Falcons Café! Feb 7 - Pastors Breakfast 9 am – 10:30 am We want to honour our pastors, and serve them for their work with our families.
