Merry Christmas!!!!

We hope and pray you are enjoying the Christmas break with your family and friends. On behalf of the teachers at the preschool, we would like to wish you a very Merry Christmas and blessed New Year! Thankyou for all the kind words and beautiful gifts last week, it was so thoughtful of you. We will see you Jan. 3, 2012!!!

Preschool Christmas Program!!!!

This Tuesday, December 13 at 6:30 at the Secondary Campus is our Christmas performance!! Parking is around the west side of the highschool and on the north side as well. The north side entrance is where you will enter the building and go left to the Performing Arts Centre (PAC). There will be signs on the door directing you where to go. Please bring 1/2 dozen goodies to share and enjoy refreshments after the show. Children can dress up if they want too, but it is not mandatory. See you there tomorrow night!

Reminders...

Hello! Reminding you to dress black, brown and white for dressup day and on Friday we will dress Christmasy along with the rest of the school! Yay!!

Twin Day Friday!

The primary campus is celebrating twin day on Friday so we thought it would be fun to all wear our brand new Falcon tshirts together on Friday to preschool!!

So all four year olds wear your Falcon tshirts on Friday!

THIS WEEK!!!

2.5 hour Program: Pet Dress up Day is THURSDAY AND FRIDAY this week! Children can dress up as a pet or bring their favorite pet stuffie! I'm sorry I told some of you Wednesday but it is Friday. Birthday celebrations are Thursday and Friday as well.

Extended 9-1 Program: Your field trip to the pumpkin patch is on Friday at 9:25AM. Please go directly to Rondriso Farms and the teachers will meet you there. After the field trip you may drop your child off at preschool for a short session and hot lunch. Your dressup day is Wednesday! October birthday celebrations are on Monday!

FOOD BANK FRIDAY!

Every Friday and really anytime, the school takes donations to the Surrey Food Bank. Peanut butter is really appreciated as well as baby items. You can drop off these items and more at anytime to the table beside the library.

Coffee Connect

All parents are invited to COFFEE CONNECT in the development room on Thursday, Oct. 20. Come and have coffee and chat with other parents!!

Field Trip this week!

Hi everyone, just a reminder that Wednesday and Thursday is our field trip to Rondriso Farms Pumpkin Patch. Please review the map and reminders found in your October newsletter. Please note there are no classes on these two days. Please go directly to the pumpkin patch. We will meet at 9:25AM and 12:40PM for AM/PM classes. We will provide a small snack and we will go rain or shine!! We will be there for about an hour or so. See you then!

Reminders for the last week of September!

Here are some things to remember for this week:

1) Picture day: Monday and Tuesday for all preschool classes...individual photos will be taken. You will get proofs in a few weeks as well as an opportunity for retakes.
2) September birthday celebrations at the end of the week. If your child had a birthday in September you can bring in something special to celebrate. However, we ask that you refrain from cupcakes etc. as we won't be eating it in class and is hard to hand out. Some suggestions if you want your child to give something out: stickers, pencils etc. (goodie bag items). We also ask that you refrain from handing out treats such as hard candy as this is a major choking hazard for young children. Thankyou for your understanding!
3) Fire Drill: We will be practising monthly fire/emergency drills with the children so please be aware that we will be talking about this and practicing in class this week.

September 2011

Hi everyone, finally got a few minutes to sign on and say WELCOME to our preschool blog! It's been great getting settled in and getting to know your adorable children! The kids have been loving our Nursery Rhyme theme, especially Humpty Dumpty, as well as getting to know eachother's names. Take the time this week to introduce yourselves to other parents and children and don't hesitate to ask if you have ANY questions or concerns.

BEACH DAY TODAY!!!!

Good morning! Looks like it's getting brighter out there so let's go for it! We'll see you around 10:00 AM, dress in layers as it is probably cooler down there. We will meet at the end of Beecher Street in 'downtown' Crescent Beach area, by the public bathrooms and the restaurants. Parking is in the local neighbourhood, be aware of no parking signs in front of some residential homes. On the beach, look for a couple of helium balloons and my purple beach chair! Call the school for my cell number if you need more directions! See you soon!

OUR LAST WEEK!!

Hi everyone. Can't believe we are in our last week of our preschool year once again! Here are some important reminders about this week and next:

1) June/July/August Birthday celebrations are Wednesday/Thursday. Feel free to bring a birthday treat to hand out at the end of class, but don't feel obligated!
2) Children are encouraged to bring a show and tell this week with the theme being "Ocean". ALL children are invited to do so, so that everyone gets one more turn for show and tell!
3) Wednesday PM class (15th), Thursday class (16th) and Friday class(17th) are our last classes for this year. Please ensure you take all belongings including art work, nametags off cubbies, earthquake kits, etc. Anything not taken will be left with the office for you to pick up at a time convenient for you!
4) TOMORROW NIGHT: Father's Day Event at Primary Campus Gymnasium, 6:30 PM. This is a great evening, we will making a yummy snack together as well as a fun craft, Lego station and we'll sing some songs for you too! If you didn't RSVP, please do so as soon as possible so we know how many are coming.
5) Crescent Beach Party day: We will be handing out maps this week with instructions. We will meet on the main beach close to the fish and chips restaurant on Monday, June 20. Please bring your own snacks, lawn chairs, toys. IF the weather is bad, check the blog to see if we are going or not. Tuesday the 21st is our alternate day.

Remember: Every child must have an accompanying adult to lead a horse. Unsupervised children/siblings are not allowed. Wear weather appropriate clothing, boots and helmet required. Most of the field trip is in the stables/barn. Get there early and meet in parking lot. Thanks!

MOTHER'S DAY TEA

Please come to our Mother's Day Tea...Wednesday, May 4 10:30 AM and 2:00 PM and Thursday, May 5 at 10:30 AM.

We need all the children to have an adult present so they do not feel left out, so if Mommy can't make it, please ensure that someone else can. We will be enjoying refreshments and a small program. The children can't wait to sing for you! See you soon!

REMINDERS

Hello everyone...well January is almost over but here are some important items to remember:

1) January birthday celebrations are tomorrow and Thursday. Also, please send along a piece of fruit to make fruit salad Wed/Thurs along with your child's regular snack.
2) ALL SCHOOL Earthquake drill tomorrow morning at 10:00 AM. Ask your child what we did and practice at home! We will also be practicing with the other classes Wednesday afternoon and Thursday morning.
3) Visit from a dental hygenist tomorrow morning and afternoon therefore we will not be attending chapel tomorrow morning. Tues/Thurs will get their visit next week Thursday.
4) Friday is a PROFESSIONAL DAY, school is CLOSED. All teachers will be attending a staff retreat in Washington.
5) Field trip to Splitz Gymnastics next Wednesday and Thursday. Please read the note that was sent home this week carefully for details!! Please ask for another note if you did not receive one.

SNOW DAY!!!

You guessed it...snow day!! We are closed today. School will most likely resume tomorrow if the weather holds true and we get the rain they are calling for. Backwards Day for tomorrow's class is still on, we will reschedule Backwards Day for todays classes next week. See you soon!!
