NO SCHOOL!!
Hi everyone! Due to bad weather...aka snow...school will be closed Tuesday, December 15. This means that our concert will also be cancelled. However, the children still want to sing for you, so please join us on your child's corresponding preschool day (please note, drop off your child at regular time Wed/Thurs/Fri and come back at the assigned time to watch the program in the preschool room):

December reminders!
Hope you had a chance to get outside and enjoy the sunshine today!
Please remember that this Wednesday and Thursday is RED AND GREEN DAY! Children can wear red and/or green, as well as bring something that is red and/or green for show and tell. We have retired the show and tell bag until January, so this is their opportunity to each have a turn this week!
We are busy practicing our Christmas songs, you may have heard your child singing a tune here and there :) The concert is coming soon, Tuesday, December 15, 6:30 PM in the school gym. Look for the invitation attached to the December newsletter. Friends and family welcome!
If you would like to see the project the 4 year olds worked on with their grade 2/3 buddies last week, take a walk down the grade 3/4 wing and look at the bulletin board outside the grade 2/3 classroom. They did a fantastic job and really enjoyed spending time with their buddies. We will be joining up again in the new year for another art project.
If you have any concerns or questions about your child, please do not hesitate to talk to one of the teachers. We would love to answer your questions and take the time to get to know you better.

Hello everyone, hope you had a chance to enjoy our school's FUN FAIR on Saturday! Here are a few things that are happening this week at Surrey Christian Preschool:
1) We are celebrating November birthdays on Tuesday and Wednesday. You are welcome to bring a goodie bag or something small for the children in your child's class if you wish. Please refrain from bringing candy/cake/mini muffins unless it is something we can hand out at the end of class. Cake will not be served during class. There are 19 children in M/W/F AM, 11 in M/W PM and 15 children in T/TH AM.
2) A fire/emergency drill will be practiced in each class this week. Once a month, we practice and talk about what to do in an emergency with the children at circle time.
3) Mrs. Yzerman will be away on Thursday for the grade 1 field trip. Miss Julie will be subbing for us on this day.
4) Friday is a Professional Day, school is closed.
5) We will be moving into a new unit soon "Christmas around the world". If you have any special Christmas traditions you celebrate with your family and would like to come in and share them with us, let us know!

***Please remember NOT to come to school on your field trip day. Go straight to the farm and meet in the parking lot at 9:25 AM. We start at 9:30 AM Sharp. We should be finished around 11:00, this field trip will not be cancelled if raining, please dress appropriately.
Monday/Wednesday PM Class will be going on Wednesday, October 21, 12:40PM,we should be finished around 2:15PM. Again, meet us at the patch and please dress appropriately for the weather.
Please sign up if you are going, siblings will cost $6, extra adults will cost $2, one parent per child will be covered by the preschool. See you soon!

Caution: Preschoolers at play!
HI everyone!! Welcome to Surrey Christian Preschool's blog! Our goal is to update this blog about twice a month. Check often for reminders, upcoming events and fun pics of your children hard at play.
Upcoming important dates:
The preschool is closed on October 8/9/12 for Teacher's Convention and Thanksgiving. Your preschool teachers will also be attending to continue their education, network with other preschool teachers and be fed spiritually. Enjoy the long weekend with your families and friends, giving thanks to our Creator!!
Thankyou for all of your support and patience as we settle into a new year. The children have adjusted very quickly and though we are still learning our new routines with a few tears along the way, everyone comes in with big smiles ready for a new day!
